The services and manufacturing PMIs are due out next week
Fed speeches will be in focus next week, as well as a host of other economic data including manufacturing and services purchasing managers’ indexes (PMI). The market will be closed on Wednesday for the Juneteenth holiday.
Earning season is coming to a close, but CarMax (KMX), Darden Restaurants (DRI), KB Home (KBH), and Kroger (KR) will still report earnings next week.
Below is a list of key market events scheduled for the upcoming week. All economic dates listed below are tentative and subject to change.
Monday, June 17, will bring the Empire State manufacturing survey and comments from Philadelphia Fed President Patrick Harker.
Tuesday, June 18 features U.S. retail sales, industrial production data, business inventories, and speeches from several Fed officials.
Wednesday, June 19, the market is closed for the Juneteenth holiday.
Regularly scheduled jobless claims data is slated for Thursday, June 20, along with housing starts, building permits, and the Philadelphia Fed manufacturing survey.
The S&P flash U.S. services PMI and S&P flash U.S. manufacturing PMI are due out on Friday, June 21, as well as existing home sales and leading economic indicators.
