TEVA and HPE are both trading under $20
Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (NYSE:TEVA) and Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co (NYSE:HPE) are this week’s picks for Schaeffer’s Cheap Seats: Stocks Under $20 segment. Both stocks are trading in the $18 region and sporting 2024 gains.
Looking at Teva Pharmaceuticals stock first, the Israel-based pharma name is outperforming with a 78.9% year-to-date lead. The equity is hovering just below its Aug. 27 five-year high of $18.89, up 0.3% at $18.61 at last glance. Well above all notable short- and long-term daily moving averages, and with recent support at its 10-day trendline, TEVA might not be under $20 for long.
HPE isn’t faring quite as well, though still up 10.3% since the start of the year. The company is gearing up for its earnings report, due out after the close on Wednesday, Sept. 4, and forecasted to show downbeat profit amid steep competition and a tough PC market. At last glance, the security was down 1.1% at $18.79.
