The U.S. Presidential election is on Tuesday
Next week is fairly light in terms of economic data, though investors will be anxiously awaiting the Fed’s latest interest rate decision and surrounding commentary. Earnings season is still in full swing as well, with reports from Airbnb (ABNB), Arm Holdings (ARM), Constellation Energy (CEG), Gilead Sciences (GILD), Marathon Petroleum (MPC), Marriott International (MAR), Novo Nordisk (NVO), Palantir Technologies (PLTR), Paramount Global (PARA), and Qualcomm (QCOM), to name a few.
Below is a list of key market events scheduled for the upcoming week. All economic dates listed below are tentative and subject to change.
Monday, November 4 starts off slow with just factory orders scheduled.
Tuesday, November 5 brings the U.S. Presidential election. In terms of economic data, U.S. trade deficit and ISM services data will be featured.
The S&P final U.S. services purchasing managers index (PMI) is due out on Wednesday, November 6.
Thursday, November 7 brings the usual weekly jobs data, as well as the Federal Open Market Committee’s (FOMC) latest interest rate decision.
Preliminary consumer sentiment data slated for release on Friday, November 8, along with the monthly U.S. Federal budget.
