Over the last 10 days, NVDA saw the most option volume
Semiconductor giant Nvidia Corp (NASDAQ:NVDA) regularly appears on Senior Quantitative Analyst Rocky White’s list of stocks that attracted the most options volume during the last two weeks. This time around, NVDA outdid itself, taking the top spot on White’s list despite a post-earnings pullback.
Over the last 10 days, Nvidia stock saw 39,514,631 calls and 23,489,639 puts traded. The weekly 8/23 130-strike call was the most active contract by far over this timeframe, followed by the 130-strike call in the weekly 8/30 series.
Call traders are in luck, too, as NVDA is within one standard deviation of a historically bullish trendline. The security lost over10% over the last two sessions, erasing $278.9 billion from its market value — the largest one-day loss for any U.S. company in history.
However, this most recent pullback placed it near its 126-day moving average. According to separate data from White, Nvidia stock saw four similar signals during the past three years. The equity was higher a month later 75% of the time, and averaged a 7.7% gain.
NVDA was last seen 0.2% higher to trade at $106.37. Despite sitting well below a June 20 record high of $140.75, shares remain more than 115% higher in 2024 and sport a 126.4% year-over-year lead.
